What is website maintenance?
Website maintenance is the regular work that keeps a website running after it has been built. It covers hosting, security updates, backups and small changes to the words, prices or photos. Chalybs calls it “Looked after”. It costs £49.99 a month for a website, or from £125 a month for a Shopify store.

- 01What counts as a content change?
- A content change means updating text, prices or opening hours, or swapping photos, on existing pages. Adding new pages or features is quoted separately.
- 02I already have hosting. Do I need this?
- No. If you already have hosting, you do not need the Looked after plan. Tell us and we’ll quote without it.
- 03What if my site goes down?
- Chalybs checks your website regularly. If something on our side breaks, we fix it within 48 hours of you contacting us, and usually sooner.
- 04Can I leave?
- Yes, you can leave Chalybs. Everything is in your name, so you take it all with you. Monthly services are billed a month in advance, and the month already paid for is not refunded.
