What garage customers look for
- Book an MOT or service online, even after hours
- See starting prices before they call
- Check opening times and where you are
- Trust you with their car
- Reach you on WhatsApp
What we build into a garage website
- An enquiry form, with online booking as a £150 extra
- A page for each service: MOT, servicing, repairs, tyres
- “From” prices customers can see
- Google Business Profile and map set up
- Fast on mobile, so drivers don’t give up
What a garage website has to answer
A driver with a warning light on, or an MOT due next week, wants three answers quickly. Can you do it, roughly what will it cost, and when can you fit the car in? A website that answers those gets the booking. One that makes them ring to find out loses some of them to the garage down the road that shows it.
So each service gets its own page: MOT, servicing, brakes, tyres, air conditioning, diagnostics and bodywork. Each page has a “from” price wherever you can give one. Your opening hours, a map and where to park or drop the keys all sit where a driver can find them in seconds. The same goes for whether you offer a courtesy car or collection.
Trust is the other half. Say how long you have been trading and name the people in the workshop. Show any trade schemes you belong to, such as the Good Garage Scheme, Trust My Garage or The Motor Ombudsman. Then let your Google reviews do the talking.
Found for “MOT near me”
Searches like “MOT near me”, “car service Barking” and “tyres Dagenham” are mostly answered from Google Maps. With every website we set up or tidy your Google Business Profile, with the right categories, services, hours and photos. We also build a page for each service, so Google has something to match.
If the diary has gaps, Google Ads can fill them: MOTs this month, air conditioning in spring, tyres before winter. You set the budget and can stop at any time. Ongoing local SEO keeps the listing fresh and gives you a simple way to ask customers for reviews.
Selling parts, tyres or accessories online as well? That is a job for an online shop rather than a page on the garage site. We build those too: see Shopify stores.
What it costs
What garages, MOT centres, body shops and tyre fitters usually start with. The price is fixed in writing before any work begins.
| Service | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Business website | From £399 | A business website from £399 has up to five pages, such as home, MOT, servicing, repairs and contact. It shows your prices, hours and map, and is set up to be found on Google. |
| Online booking | +£150 | Online booking is a £150 extra: customers book or request a slot from the site, even after you have closed. Already use a booking system? We link to it instead. |
| A page for every service | From £699 | A growth website from £699 has up to ten pages. MOTs, servicing, brakes, tyres, air conditioning and bodywork can then each be found on their own. |
| Found on Google | From £99 a month | Local SEO is a flat monthly fee from £99. We keep your Google listing up to date, improve your pages and send a plain-English summary each month. There is no long contract. |
| Google Ads | From £145 a month | Google Ads management is a flat monthly fee from £145, never a share of your ad spend. Set-up is £150 if you need a new account. What you spend on clicks goes straight to Google, in your name. |

We also build websites for trades, solicitors and accountants, clinics and salons, and local services.
Questions people ask
- Can customers book online?
- Yes, customers can book online. An online booking or enquiry form is +£150, or we can link to your existing booking system.
- Should I show prices?
- We recommend showing starting prices on a garage website, so customers know roughly what a job costs before they ring. We’ll help you choose what to show.
- Do you understand the motor trade?
- Yes. Chalybs has years of hands-on experience on the online side of the motor trade, selling parts and accessories through websites and marketplaces.
- How long does a garage website take?
- Garage websites usually take two to five weeks from the first chat to going live. We show you the first page before building the rest. You only need to send photos and check the preview on your phone.
- We already use a booking system. Can the website work with it?
- Usually, yes: a website can work with the booking system you already use. If your system gives you a booking link, we add it to every page. If it does not, we add an enquiry form that reaches your phone.
- Who owns the website and the domain?
- Chalybs clients own their website and domain. The domain, the hosting and the site are in your name from day one. If you ever leave, you take it all with you.
